Kuihelani Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 450 acres.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 27,300 households, to offset 844,951t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $90.9m.
The solar power project consists of 200,000 modules.
Development status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in October 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Maui Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years from 2023. The offtake capacity is expected to be 60MW.
