Description

The project was developed by 174 Mexico Holdings S de RL de CV and is currently owned by Hanwha.

Laguna Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 230 hectares.

The project generates 291,608MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 180,000 households, offsetting 121,979t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2018 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 102.5MW.

Contractors involved

Hanwha Solutions was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 363,834 modules each with 345W of nameplate capacity.

Schneider Electric supplied its Conext SmartGen 220kVA inverters to the project site.
