Description

Saga Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 45 acres.

The project generates 18GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,000 households, offsetting 11,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 48,000 modules.

Development status

The project got commissioned in October 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Ceylon Electricity Board under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.177kWh for a period of 20 years.
