Description
The project is being developed by PT Samosir Geothermal Power. KS Orka Renewables and PT Optima Nusantara Energi are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 90% and 10% respectively.
Simbolon Samosir Geothermal Power Plant will run at a temperature of 240 Degree Celsius.
The geothermal power project consists of 1 turbines each with 50 MW nameplate capacity and 1 turbines each with 60 MW nameplate capacity respectively.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement.
