Description

The project was developed by Emergy and Total Eren. Emergy, Al Gihaz Holding and Total Eren are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 46.5%, 26.75% and 26.75% respectively.

The project generates 895,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 100,000 households, offsetting 465,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2020.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Energorynok under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

Nordex and Power Construction Corporation of China were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Nordex was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 63 units of N131/3900 turbines, each with 3.9MW nameplate capacity.

Nordex is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
