Description

The project is being developed by Noor Alwadi Renewable Energy. TotalEnergies, Toyota Tsusho and Altaaqa Renewables are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 40% and 20% respectively.

Wadi Al Dawaser Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project is expected to generate 373,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 17,000 households. The project is expected to offset 8,000,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by March 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Saudi Power Procurement under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

SEPCO Electric Power Construction is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
