Description
The project is co-owned by Madhya Pradesh Power Generating and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
Rana Pratap Sagar is a reservoir based project. The net head of the project is 57.607m. The penstock diameter is 6.096m. The project generated 386.5 GWh of electricity.

Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of kaplan turbines, each with 43MW nameplate capacity.
Andritz Hydro supplied 4 electric generators for the project.
