The project is developed and owned by Madhya Bharat Power.

Rongnichu is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 0.33 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 425.5m and 404.1m respectively. The penstock length is 812m. The penstock diameter is 3m. The project generated 384 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $160.871m.
