The project was developed by LS Power Development. Sandy Creek Energy Associates, Brazos Electric Cooperative and Lower Colorado River Authority are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 63.87%, 25% and 11.13% respectively.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant.

The project generated 6,469,237MWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,202m.

Contractors Involved

Sandy Creek Power Partners was selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.

Toshiba was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project. The company provided 1 unit of Tandem Compound Reheat steam turbine with 900MW nameplate capacity.

Toshiba supplied electric generator for the project.

IHI supplied steam boiler for the project.

NAES is the O&M contractor for thermal power project, commencing from the year 2013.
