Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization.
Shogo-Sin is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 248.5m and 231m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 3 in number. The penstock length will be 80m. The penstock diameter will be 1.85m. The project is expected to generate 585 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $270m.
The hydro power project consists of 3 units of pelton turbines.
The project will have 3 electric generators installed at the project site. The generator capacity is likely to be 51.8 MVA.
