Shuqaiq Phase 2 IWPP is an 850MW oil fired power project. It is located in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in May 2010.

Description

The project was developed by Al Shuqaiq Water and Electricity. International Company for Water and Power Projects, The Saudi Public Investment Fund, Gulf Investment, Arab Petroleum Investments and Saudi Electricity are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 32%, 32%, 20%, 8% and 8% respectively.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The fuel is procured from Saudi Aramco.

The project cost is $1,831m.
