Turkana County Geothermal Power Plant is a 140MW geothermal power project. It is planned in Turkana, Kenya. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2025.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Olsuswa Energy.

The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 540,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $420m.
