OX2 has reached an agreement with Prime Capital for the sale of a 23MW windfarm in northern Finland.

OX2 will conduct a technical upgrade of the windfarm and carry out technical and commercial management following the sale.

Based in Sweden, OX2 is engaged in renewable energy projects development, while Prime Capital is a European independent asset management firm and financial services provider.

Azure Power has secured financing of Rs4bn ($58m) for its 100MW solarpower plant being developed in Karnataka, India, in an auction conducted by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd.

Based in India, Azure Power is an independent solarpower producer.

Macquarie Group has agreed to become a part of a consortium group that is developing the 11GW Asian Renewable Energy Hub project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Intercontinental Energy, Vestas, and CWP Energy Asia are the members of the consortium to develop wind and solar hybrid power facilities under the project with an estimated investment of more than A$22bn ($15.5bn).

Based in Australia, Macquarie Group is a global diversified financial group.

Enel Russia has contracted Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) for the supply of 26 SG 3.4-132 wind turbines for its Azovskaya windfarm.

The windfarm is being developed in Southern Russia and is expected to commence operations in 2020.

Based in Russia, Enel Russia is engaged in power generation. SGRE is based in Spain and involved in wind turbine manufacturing.

European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a loan of €210m ($241m) to Northwester 2 for the construction of the Northwester 2 windfarm off the Belgian coast.

Northwester 2 windfarm is the fourth wind project to be developed in the region and involves an investment of €642m ($738m).

The windfarm will be equipped with 23 MHI Vestas wind turbines of 9.5MW each to generate 219MW of clean energy, which will be sufficient to supply for approximately 220,000 Belgian households starting from 2020.

Northwester 2 is a company created to execute the project development. It holds a 224MW concession in the Belgian territorial waters. Parkwind holds 46% stake in Northwester 2, while Colruyt holds 30%, Incontrol has 14%, and TTR owns 10%.
