It represents a significant step in Envision’s rollout of its Future Energy Systems strategy in the UK to support more adaptable and low-emission energy infrastructure.

Originally designed for a two-hour duration, Envision Energy reconfigured the system to provide 2.4 hours of storage.

This change demonstrates the technology’s ability to adapt to evolving grid demands.

The solution will feature Envision’s Gen 7 BESS platform, which includes advanced battery systems and grid-forming capabilities.

It is intended to enhance grid stability, improve system flexibility and accommodate growing electricity demand driven by electrification.

Envision Energy senior vice-president and EU & LATAM Regions president Henry Peng said: “We are delighted to partner with Pulse Clean Energy on this landmark project, which reflects the growing recognition of Envision as a trusted system-level partner.

“As the global energy system undergoes a profound transformation, the future requires more intelligent, flexible and resilient energy infrastructure.

“By combining advanced storage technologies with AI-powered Future Energy Systems, Envision is committed to partnering with global stakeholders to enable a more adaptive energy ecosystem that accelerates renewable integration, supports industrial decarbonisation and drives the transition toward a sustainable energy future.”

Supported by Envision’s local team with experience in grid integration and overall project management, the development is intended to address the changing requirements of the UK’s energy sector.

The project is expected to facilitate the integration of more renewable energy, enhance energy resilience in the region and contribute to the decarbonisation of sectors such as manufacturing and logistics.

The company also reported that independent third-party environmental, social and governance due diligence has been carried out for the project.

Pulse Clean Energy technology and operations director Aazzum Yassir said: “The UK’s energy landscape is evolving rapidly, and battery storage plays a critical role in modern energy systems.

“Batteries balance supply and demand, improve the security of the grid and support lower-cost power for consumers and businesses.”

In November 2025, Envision Energy and GES formed a strategic partnership to scale BESS and wind power in Spain and across Europe, accelerating the region’s clean energy transition.
