Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) Australia, alongside the Canadian infrastructure fund OMERS, has purchased the Axedale project, a combined solar and battery storage facility, from ACEN Australia. The move has bolstered FRV’s position in the Australian market.

The Axedale project, located 20km east of Bendigo, Victoria, has a 140MWac [megawatts alternating current] solar capacity and a 50MW/100 megawatt hours (MWh) battery storage system, capable of providing two hours of operation.
