OEM Goldwind Science & Technology subsidiary Goldwind Americas has sold its 160MW Rattlesnake Wind Project in McCulloch County, Texas, US, to an investment company advised by Exus Management Partners.
Located in McCulloch County, the project is equipped with 64 Goldwind GW109/2500 permanent magnet direct-drive turbines.

By GlobalDataGoldwind Americas CEO David Sale said: “The sale of the Rattlesnake Wind Project underscores Goldwind’s strategic US growth strategy and commercialisation of Goldwind’s technology in one of the world’s largest and most complex wind markets.
“Goldwind Americas and our local service and maintenance team look forward to working alongside the new owner to continue bringing renewable electricity to the people of Texas.”
In 2016, the company acquired the project, which reached commercial operation in 2018.
According to the agreement, Goldwind Americas has agreed to provide long-term maintenance services to the project under its warranty package.
Goldwind Americas chief financial officer Saad Qais said: “Goldwind Americas is excited to be working with Exus Management Partners on the long-term service and maintenance of the Rattlesnake Wind Project.
“This transaction represents the start of a strong relationship between the Goldwind Group of Companies and Exus as they build out an impressive pipeline of wind farms globally.”
The company has not disclosed the financial details of the deal.
In May, Goldwind Americas divested its 55MW Penonomé I wind project, which was acquired by AES Panamá, a subsidiary of global power company AES.
The project is equipped with 22 Goldwind GW109/2500 permanent magnet direct-drive turbines.
