The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) in the US has approved construction of solarpower generating facilities in Brown County and Hardin County.
Hillcrest Solar I has been authorised to build the 125MW Hillcrest Solar Farm in Brown County on a 1,100-acre area.
Owned by Blue Planet Renewable Energy firm, Hillcrest Solar I will be installing an array of ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) modules for the Hillcrest Solar Farm, as well as developing associated support facilities such as a substation, access roads, meteorological stations and buried electrical collection lines.
Invenergy Solar Development North America’s subsidiary Hardin Solar Energy has been approved to build the 150MW Hardin Solar Centre in Hardin County on 1,115 acres of leased land in Marion, Roundhead and McDonald townships.
At the Hardin County site, Hardin Solar will be installing ground-mounted solar panels and associated support facilities, including access roads, meteorological stations, a battery storage area and buried electrical collection lines, which will connect the farm to a utility substation.
