Suzlon Group has secured a new 250MW wind project order from Torrent Green Energy, a subsidiary of Torrent Group, expanding their partnership beyond 1.3GW.
The agreement is the sixth between the two companies, with projects now spanning the Indian states of Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.

Under the latest order, Suzlon will provide 76 units of its S144 wind turbine, each with a capacity of 3.3MW.
The contract also covers grid integration and long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) services.
Suzlon Group vice-chairman Girish Tanti said: “For us, the true measure of success is not a single order but partnerships that endure and grow over time.
“Torrent Green Energy has been one of our most valued partners for over a decade, and we are honoured that this relationship has grown into one of Suzlon’s largest customer partnerships.
“It is a reminder that in renewable energy, trust is earned through consistent performance, and long-term partnerships create the confidence to build India’s energy future together.”
According to Suzlon, new orders in the financial year 2027 (FY27) have reached more than 1.1GW, reflecting continued activity in the wind energy sector.
The company has installed more than 22GW of wind power capacity in 17 countries and operates a broad range of renewable energy businesses.
Suzlon Group CEO Ajay Kapur said: “Customer confidence continues to be our biggest strength, which is reflected in 1.1GW of new orders we have secured in FY27.
“This order further strengthens our presence in Madhya Pradesh, which is emerging as an important growth market for wind energy in India.”
Last month, Suzlon secured a 201.6MW wind power project from Waaree Forever Energies Private, the independent power producer arm of Waaree Group.
This project in Andhra Pradesh will see Suzlon supply 64 of its S144 wind turbine generators, each rated at 3.15MW.
Under the agreement, Suzlon will provide full engineering, procurement and construction services including land acquisition, turbine supply, balance of plant, commissioning, and ongoing O&M.
