Belectric, a member of the Elevion Group, has reached an agreement with Severn Trent Green Power (STGP) to construct four UK solar power projects totalling nearly 210 megawatts-peak (MWp) of photovoltaic capacity.

The deal represents a significant advancement for Belectric in the UK renewable energy market.

The partnership will see Belectric's expertise applied to the construction of solar farms across Warwickshire, Shropshire, Yorkshire and North Yorkshire.

These projects are scheduled to begin construction in March 2026, with completion expected between August 2027 and January 2028.

In line with environmental commitments, the Warwickshire site will feature designated areas for skylark protection to enhance local biodiversity.

STGP managing director Jonathon Wroe said: “These are the first solar projects of scale that STGP is bringing forward, and they mark an important step in our long-term commitment to renewable energy.

“As we move into construction, our priority is to deliver these projects in a way that reflects the needs of the communities hosting them. We are committed to open communication and meaningful engagement throughout the build programme and beyond.”

To tackle engineering challenges like overhead power lines and gas pipelines at each site, Belectric intends to customise the design of each plant to meet specific conditions, ensuring safety and efficiency during project execution.

Belectric CEO Thorsten Blanke said: “We are proud to be partnering with Severn Trent Green Power on this significant portfolio of solar projects.

“Supported by the strong European platform of the Elevion Group, our team continues to demonstrate its capability to deliver large-scale solar power plants under complex conditions.”
