Juniper Green Energy has announced the full commissioning of its 217 megawatts peak (MWp) solar power project in Chapalgaon, Maharashtra, India.

The addition of a 71MWp capacity to the plant has brought the entire project online almost one-and-a-half years ahead of its scheduled completion date, as reported by the Economic Times.

The company, via its subsidiary, Juniper Green Ray Two, supplies power to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company.

Juniper Green Energy CEO Ankush Malik stated: "With the Chapalgaon project now fully operational, Juniper Green Energy once again proves its track record of commissioning projects ahead of schedule and highlights our ability to meaningfully contribute to India's energy demands for clean energy solutions.

Juniper Green Energy commissioned the project in two phases: initially bringing 145.99MWp online in May 2025 and then adding the final segment of 71MWp in June 2025. This commissioning occurred within four months after signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).

Specialising in utility-scale renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and hybrids, Juniper Green Energy has been operating from Delhi-NCR since 2018. Over time, it has expanded its portfolio to 1.45 gigawatts peak (GWp) operational capacity.

In January 2025, Envision Energy India received an order from Juniper Green Energy for the delivery of 200 EN 182 5MW wind turbine generators along with its first-ever 320 megawatt-hour battery energy storage system
