Zeo Energy and Creekstone sign MoU on 280MW energy generation development

The collaboration targets solar and storage solutions to support the energy needs of the new Millard County data centre.

Zeo Energy has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Creekstone Energy to develop nearly 280MW of baseload energy generation to supply the latter’s data centre under construction in Millard County, Utah, US.

The project aims to support the power needs of the Creekstone Gigasite facility, which is intended for cloud computing and AI applications.

Zeo has commenced a pre-feasibility study to examine solar and long-duration energy storage options for the site.

The company’s engineering team is designing a solution that will combine solar power with energy storage technology to deliver consistent electricity output.

This initiative follows Zeo’s acquisition of Heliogen in August 2025, which enhanced its capabilities in energy generation and storage.

Creekstone began construction on the Gigasite in December 2025 and intends to deliver more than 300MW of gas-generated energy to its data centre clients by the first half of 2027.

The company also plans to allocate up to 50MW of power to Blue Sky AI, an AI infrastructure provider, during the early development phase.

Future expansion includes increasing total power production at the Gigasite to multiple gigawatts, utilising power from Zeo’s energy solutions.

As part of the memorandum, Zeo may seek project financing for its solar and storage solutions and provide various engineering services such as front-end loading and design studies.

The agreement is non-binding and does not commit either company to proceed until a final contract is reached.

Creekstone Energy CEO Ray Conley said: “At Creekstone, we plan to deliver over 600MW of baseload power to our Gigasite customers in 2027 in phase one of our project. Our collaboration with Zeo reflects the market urgency of using all available energy sources to rapidly provide baseload power.”
