Offshore Containers

Offshore containers are used to transport goods and for the enclosure of machines, systems and controls as storage space for the accommodation of people on oil and gas rigs, as well as on substations for wind turbines, or other equipment used at sea.

Metallbau Emmeln’s offshore containers are EN 12079, DNV 2.7-1 and -2 certified.

The aggressive maritime climate places on high demands on mechanical stress corrosion protection. Demands on the material and structural strength are particularly prevalent during transport and loading at sea, for example in high waves.

To achieve these requirements various national or group-specific standards and regulations have been developed.
