The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult’s National Renewable Energy Centre in Blyth, North East England, has resumed its staff testing procedures after introducing more safety measures during the Covid-19 pandemic.
ORE Catapult’s test facilities director Tony Quinn said: “Whilst many of our staff continue to work remotely where they are able to do so, the restart of key programmes across our world-leading blades, powertrains, electrical and subsea testing facilities will ensure that the UK can continue to address its binding net zero targets and drive economic growth and job creation that will be more important than ever in the coming months”.
