Eesti Energia has signed an agreement with GE Energy for the construction of a 22.5MW wind farm at Paldiski, located on the Pakri peninsula, Estonia.

The €33m Paldiski wind farm will be equipped with nine turbines and will be capable of generating up to 67GWh of electricity.

Under the agreement, GE will be responsible for the construction of the foundations and the assembly of the wind turbines on the site.

Skanska is already constructing the main grid connection substation and the tender for the civil works will be launched soon.

Construction of the plant is expected to be complete by 2012, reports the IBTimes.
