T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in January 2020 with 238 tenders and a 52.1% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 104 tenders and a 22.8% share and Power Plant with 62 tenders and a 13.6% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 91 tenders and an 87.5% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 12 tenders and an 11.5% share
- Project Implementation: one tender and a 1% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in January 2020
Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for five tenders with a 50% share, followed by hydro with three tenders and a 30% share and solar with two tenders and a 20% share.
