EMICON Systems is a Danish company with more than 15 years’ experience in muffler and emission technologies. Its emission control systems help to create a harmonious interaction between vehicles and the environment. In short, we can make a particle filter solution for all types of diesel engines.

Particulate filter systems

EMICON Systems aims to produce and deliver particulate filter systems that are real solutions for the environment, the vehicles and their owners as well as for the users. In this way both the environment and our customers are winners.

We believe that a real solution for the environment consists of removing the hazardous soot particles from the exhaust of diesel vehicles without creating other environmental problems at the same time. Thus, all of our particulate filter systems are developed in such a way that 90% – 99% of the soot particles are removed without causing higher exhaustion of CO2 and NOX and without increasing noise pollution.

Easy-to-clean particle filter systems

Our development department is already on to the next generation of new designs, not only to remove particles, but also to reduce NOX by up to 50% and reduce CO2 emissions significantly through improved fuel economy.

EmiVan particulate filters are quick and easy to mount.

In addition, our particle filter systems are made from silicon carbide, which gives an exceptionally good and robust design (several of the systems we have followed since installation have now driven more than 600,000km). This means longer lifetime and fewer service and workshop days.

Finally, we have taken account of the working environment in connection with the cleaning of the filter. Our filters can be easily removed from the base and, in a sealed storage bag, sent for purification at EMICON Systems. The actual treatment takes place under the right environmental conditions where soot particles are collected and deposited in accordance with current rules.

The robust and flexible design principle ensures a long life and easy service for our systems.

Diesel particulate filters

If untreated the exhaust from a diesel engine contains a number of gases and solid substances, which collectively represent an incredibly unhealthy cocktail for the human organism. It is established knowledge that the various substances in the diesel exhaust may cause cancer, bronchial diseases, cardiovascular diseases, inflammations, allergies and changes to human DNA, and that as a consequence excess mortality in urban environments is a fact.

Therefore, the purpose of a particulate filter is to remove as many of the soot particles and related substances as possible from the exhaust before it is let out into open air. Preferably, all articles would be removed, but it is especially important that the particulate filter not only removes the large particles, but is also able to remove the very small particles that the body cannot discard on its own.

Environmentally friendly particulate filter systems

Since the invention of the car it has been a challenge to create well-functioning vehicles. Later on another challenge was to also make these vehicles economic – both for initial expenditure and in daily running. Most recently the challenge has been to create environmentally acceptable vehicles that drive well, function well and are economic too.

The environmental acceptability is metered in several parameters. For multiple decades vehicles’ exhaustion of CO2 and NOX have been considered the biggest environmental problems, as those gases cause, among other things, greenhouse effect and smog. For this very reason satisfactory solutions to these problems have been developed through the years – solutions that are wide-spread today. But in recent years a new environmental challenge has been added: oil carbon particles from diesel vehicles, which are highly injurious to human and animal health.

Particulate filter systems from EMICON Systems remove the hazardous soot particles from diesel engines’ exhaust. Our particulate filters remove even the very smallest and most dangerous of these particles and thus provide an exhaust gas that is cleaner than the ones even the latest factory-mounted systems are able to deliver.

Particulate filter systems for diesel vehicles

EMICON Systems has worked on this latest challenge for several years, and today we are proud to be able to deliver particulate filter systems to all kinds of diesel vehicles. These effectively remove the soot particles from the diesel vehicles’ exhaust – without compromising the functionality, reliability, operations economy and exhaust of CO2 and NOX.

With EMICON Systems you comply with regulations and are also future-proof compared with present and future environmental zone regulations. Finally, you contribute to a cleaner world for us and our descendants, because we at EMICON Systems take pride in creating harmony between vehicles and the environment – we all need both.
