In the world of pipeline sealing modular seals are an established product. They offer a high degree of flexiblity, as well as the the advantages of a mechanical sealing system. Hauff-Technik has refined and optimised the modular seal.

The professional sealing of civil works is getting an increasing importance. A multitude of lines and pipes with varying diameters for supply and disposal are fed thourgh the wall. For an accurate and tight closing of the wall openings a sealing technique is required which is uncomplicated, easy to handle, flexible and nevertheless realiable.

Ad-lib sealing solutions of the can are often not showing the desired result and hold a serious risk of claim. In case of damage the cost for rehabilitation are often many times higher than the cost for a reliable sealing system. A popular solution are the modular seals. They are flexible and reliable. Hauff-Technik has now further improved this system.

The modular sealing system from Hauff-Gliederkette allows to seal with only 12 different segments sizes pipes from diameter 48.3 to 2,000 mm and an annular space between 19.5 and 98 mm.

Besides the classical advantages of a modular sealing system, Hauff-Technik is offering additonal benefits. When using the modular seal on lager pipelines a multitude of segments has to be used. In such cases installation takes some time as it is necessary to tighten each and every bolt several times. Easily one segment can be overlooked and/or not tightened enough.

Discover the difference – everything yellow, well done!

The modular seal from Hauff-Technik offers an integrated, visible installation control. When tightening the bolts a yellow indication rubber is compressed and visible at the top pressure plate. Therefore a simple visual control – checking if the yellow indication rubber is shown on each pressure plate – gives you the peace of mind. As the nuts are moulded into the bottom pressure plates they cannot get lost during installation.

Beside the installation safety we naturally made a point of using highest quality for all materials. The pressure plates are manufactured form solid glas fibre re-inforced polyamid. The rubber parts are made of EPDM (Ethylen-Propylen-Dien-Rubber) or if required from NBR (Acryl-Nitril-Butadien-Rubber) offering a high resistance to oil, grease and all standard fuels. The bolts and nuts are made from stainless steel V4A (AISI 316L).
