Three-phase synchronous generators
Marelli Motori manufactures three-phase synchronous generators for industrial applications where the conventional power production is required. The low-voltage range starts from 15kVA to 5,000kVA; high voltage is up to 9,000kVA.
Synchronous and asynchronous hydro generators
Hydroelectricity is the most widely used form of renewable energy and Marelli is a leading manufacturer for clean power generation from water. Our synchronous and asynchronous generators are fully customisable to satisfy any requirement of mini hydropower applications. Reliability, high efficiency and excellent performance are the main features of our extensive range, which is available up to 6,000kVA.
Three-phase squirrel cage induction motors
We offer a comprehensive range of standard industrial motors, such as three-phase squirrel cage induction motors, to suit a variety of applications in industries as diverse as building and construction, textiles, agriculture, food and drink. Output powers are up to 1,600kW.
Electric motors for hazardous areas (ATEX)
Our explosion-proof motors comply with the European Directive 94/9/EC. They are designed to operate safely in environments where explosions can occur due to combustible dust or gas. Typically these environments are found in sugar and oil refining plants, pharmaceutical, chemical and agricultural process industries, and mines. Our low-voltage range starts from 0.18kW to 560kW and the medium-voltage range is up to 360kW.
Motors and generators for marine applications
Marelli Motori offers one of the most advanced and comprehensive ranges of purpose-built rotating machines suitable for marine applications.
Our water-cooled motors are designed for heavy-duty applications where space and natural ventilation are limited. They provide an excellent power output for the compact motor size compared with traditional heat exchanger designs. They are typically used for main propulsion and thrusters. Powers are available up to 6,400kW.
Motor and generator testing facilities and service
Marelli Motori has a state-of-the-art test facility capable of testing motors and generators in their original mounting arrangement (vertical and horizontal).Testing can be conducted at 50/60Hz and variable speed as the facility is provided with a large power – high frequency AFE inverter (regenerative).Testing is carried out in compliance with all major international standards (IEC, IEEE), customer specifications, marine/navy and ATEX rules.
