International Business of the Year

ETD has been recognised as an International Business of the Year 2014, at the Leatherhead & District Business Awards 2014.

Leatherhead’s business leaders came together to celebrate the winners at an awards ceremony and dinner on Wednesday 12 November.

The awards celebrate the achievements of businesses in the Leatherhead and District, UK, area, which is home to businesses of all sizes, including large corporates and innovative smaller enterprises.

The event was organised by Prowse & Co Ltd, in conjunction with the Leatherhead Chamber of Commerce.

Sponsors included ExxonMobil, Leatherhead Advertiser, Leatherhead Chamber of Commerce, Barclays Bank, Prowse & Co Ltd, The Gatwick Diamond Initiative, Mole Valley District Council, Mundays LLP, Riverbridge House Business Centre and Surrey Connects, as well as Unilever UK.

Clare Cowan, from BBC Radio Surrey, acted as MC for the evening and guests included Mole Valley District Council leader, Cllr Chris Townsend, representatives from the sponsors and business personalities, and journalists from the Leatherhead and District area.

ETD director of operations Omar Shibli collected ETD’s award from Rosemary French OBE, executive director at The Gatwick Diamond Initiative, which sponsored the International Business of the Year category, and Clare Cowan.

"ETD Consulting is a recognised world leader providing independent technical consulting and on-site services, innovative products and high quality training to the power and process plant industries," Shibli said.

"The company was founded locally and has grown from small beginnings to be internationally recognised in our field. The support of the local business community has been important to that success and we are grateful for that support as we look to continue to grow."
