Gerald Gentleman Station is Nebraska’s largest electric generating facility (1,365 MW). It consists of two coal-fired generating units (launched into service in 1979 and 1982), supplying sufficient electricity to serve 600,000 people. It is operated by Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD).

GE (General Electric) Switzerland successfully signed the contract to upgrade the current Unit 2 low-pressure turbines and will provide a solution for predictable and reduced outage times.
