Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in October 2021 with 31 contracts and a 43.7% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 14 contracts and a 19.7% share and Generation Equipment with nine contracts and a 12.7% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 22 contracts and a 71% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: five contracts and a 16.1% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: three contracts and a 9.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 3.2% share.

The top issuers of power plant contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
- Energy Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region: 1,550MW from one contract
- Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazakhstan): 1,000MW from one contract
- Beximco Group (Bangladesh): 280MW capacity from one contract.
