T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in August 2020 with 116 tenders and a 34.4% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 105 tenders and a 31.2% share and Power Plant with 77 tenders and a 22.8% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 88 tenders and an 83.8% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 15 tenders and a 14.3% share
  3. Project Implementation: two tenders and a 1.9% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in August 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for six tenders with a 75% share, followed by hydro with one tender and a 12.5% share and solar with one tender and a 12.5% share.
