Description
The project was developed by Competitive Power Ventures Holdings and GE Energy Financial Services. Osaka Gas USA and CPV Towantic Energy Center are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 49.5% and 26% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Ultra-low Sulfur Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Algonquin Interstate Pipeline.
The project cost is $1,000m.
