The project is being developed and currently owned by Aguas El Carmen and Empresa Nicaraguense de Electricidad. The company’s ownership stake in the project stands as 10% respectively.
The project is expected to generate 461.32 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $330m.
The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 50MW nameplate capacity.
