The proportion of solar technology contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation with 157 contracts and a 76.6% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: 32 contracts and a 15.6% share
- Supply & Erection: 13 contracts and a 6.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 0.5% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 0.5% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 0.5% share.
France tops Europe solar power contracts activity
France was the top country in the Europe region for solar technology contracts recorded in Q1 2021 with 133 contracts and a 64.9% share, followed by Spain with 25 contracts and a 12.2% share and Portugal with six contracts and a 2.9% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Ministere de l’Environnement, de l’Energie et de la Mer (France): 451.88MW from 69 contracts
- Gresham House, Mytilineos (Greece) and PPC Renewables (Greece): 200MW from one contract
