There were 22 T&D equipment contracts announced in the Europe region in Q2 2019, marking a drop of 15% over the last 12-month average of 26, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q2 2019 with 84 contracts and a 33.2% share, followed by Power Plant with 75 contracts and a 29.6% share and Electricity Procurement with 38 contracts and a 15% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 16 contracts and a 72.7% share
  2. Project Implementation: four contracts and an 18.2% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two contracts and a 9.1% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe T&D equipment contracts in Q2 2019

Looking at T&D equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for ten contracts with a 90.9% share, followed by hydro with one contract and a 9.1% share.
