Gas was the top category in thermal technology in terms of number of contracts for the month, accounting for 11 contracts and a 57.9% share, followed by Coal with five contracts and a 26.3% share. Oil stood in third place with three contracts and a 15.8% share.

Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, thermal held the third position in terms of number of contracts during April 2022 with a 9.1% share.

The proportion of contracts by category in the Thermal technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  2. Project Implementation: six contracts and a 27.3% share

Asia-Pacific leads thermal contracts activity in April 2022

Comparing contracts activity in thermal technology in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with nine contracts and a share of 40.9% during April 2022, followed by Middle East and Africa with six contracts and a 27.3% share and North America with five contracts and a 22.7% share.

In fourth place was Europe with two contracts and a 9.1% share.
