The project is being developed by Clenergy International, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures and Infinergy Pacific. The project is currently owned by Fotowatio Renewable Ventures.
Metz Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 430 hectares.
The project is expected to generate 320GWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 40,000 households. The project is expected to offset 288,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $130m.
The solar power project consists of 400,000 modules.
