Myagdi Khola is a 57.3MW hydro power project. It is planned on Myagdi Khola river/basin in Dhawalagiri, Nepal. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.

Description

The project is being developed by Hydro Village and Sushmit Energy. The project is currently owned by Hydro Village.

Myagdi Khola is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 564m and 537.23m respectively. The penstock length will be 1,069m. The penstock diameter will be 2m. The project is expected to generate 335.99 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $129.48m.

The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 19.9MW nameplate capacity.

The project will have 3 electric generators installed at the project site. The generator capacity is likely to be 22.5 MVA.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Nepal Electricity Authority under a power purchase agreement.
