Europe power industry tenders in Q4 2021: Poland leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in Q4 2021 with 120 tenders and a share of 42.4%, up 17.5% over the previous quarter and up 45% when compared with the last four-quarter average, followed by Germany with 13 tenders and a share of 4.6% and France with 11 tenders and a share of 3.9% during the quarter.
Looking at the last four-quarter average, Poland held the top spot with 83 tenders, followed by France with 40 and Germany with 30 tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in Q4 2021
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 65 tenders and a 51.6% share, followed by thermal with 28 tenders and a 22.2% share and wind with 16 tenders and a 12.7% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Project was the most popular segment in Europe power tenders activity during Q4 2021, with 85 tenders, followed by Power Plant (67) and T&D Equipment (48).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 111 tenders and a 39.2% share
- Supply & Erection: 83 tenders and a 29.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 32 tenders and an 11.3% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 27 tenders and a 9.5% share
- Electricity Supply: 25 tenders and an 8.8% share
- Others: four tenders and a 1.4% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: one tender and a 0.4% share.

The top issuers of tenders for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Slovensky Vodohospodarsky Podnik (Slovakia): 27,790MW from one tender
- VIK AD Lovech: 6,950MW from one tender
- Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, Netherland: 6,000MW capacity from one tender.
