Description

Korea Electric Power and Xenel Industries are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Jordanian Egyptian FAJR for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply Co. Ltd..

Development status

The project got commissioned in August 2011.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 450MW.

LOTTE Engineering & Construction was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.

The Gas fired project have been supplied by Doosan Skoda Power and Siemens.

The electric generators for the project were procured from Doosan Skoda Power and Siemens.
