Description

The project was developed by Azito Energie. Globeleq Africa and Industrial Promotion Services (West Africa) are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 77% and 23% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Devon Fields, Foxtrot Fields, CNR Fields.

Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase IV) consists of 1 steam turbine with 83MW nameplate capacity.

The project got commissioned in January 1999.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase I) is sold to Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricite under a power purchase agreement.

The power generated from the Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase II) is sold to Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricite under a power purchase agreement.

The power generated from the Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase III) is sold to Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricite under a power purchase agreement.

The power generated from the Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase IV) is sold to Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricite under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase I) is equipped with GE Power GT13E2 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 159MW nameplate capacity.

Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase II) is equipped with GE Power GT13E2 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 144MW nameplate capacity.

Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase III) is equipped with GE Power steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 139MW nameplate capacity.

Azito CCGT Power Plant (Azito CCGT Power Plant Phase IV) is equipped with GE Power gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 170MW nameplate capacity.
