Beijing Shisanling is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 4.5 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 481m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number.
