The project is being developed by Amegni Renewables and RWE Renewables UK Swindon. Amegni Renewables, FIM Services and Ventient Energy are currently owning the project.

Carno Wind Farm (Carno III) consists of 13 turbines with 3.69MW nameplate capacity.

The Carno Wind Farm (Carno I), will have 31.500m high towers.

The Carno Wind Farm (Carno II), will have 49m high towers.

The Carno Wind Farm (Carno III), will have 83.9m high towers.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in October 1996.

Contractors involved

Carno Wind Farm (Carno I) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy B44/600 turbines. The phase consists of 56 turbines with 0.6MW nameplate capacity.

Carno Wind Farm (Carno II) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-1.3-62 turbines. The phase consists of 12 turbines with 1.3MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Carno Wind Farm (Carno II). The operation and maintenance contract tenure will likely be commencing from 2014, for a period of 15 years.
