The project is currently owned by Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from Southern California Gas Company.
The project cost is $782m.

Contractors involved
Kiewit Power Constructors was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 6 units of LMS100 gas turbines, each with 100MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
