Description
The project was developed by Scatec. The project is currently owned by Scatec with a stake of 45%, African Infrastructure Investment Managers with a stake of 10% and STANLIB.
Linde Sola PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 121 hectares.
The project generates 86,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 20,000 households, offsetting 80,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project got commissioned in July 2014.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 40MW.
