Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Iran Power Development. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Diesel.

Mahshahr Power Plant (Mahshahr Steam Turbine Power Plant) consists of 2 steam turbines with 160MW nameplate capacity.

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in February 2017.

Contractors involved

Mahshahr Power Plant (Mahshahr Gas Turbine Power Plant) will be equipped with MAPNA Turbine Engineering & Manufacturing MGT-70 gas turbines. The phase consists of 4 gas turbines with 162MW nameplate capacity.

MAPNA Generator Engineering & Manufacturing is expected to be the supplier of electric generator for the Mahshahr Power Plant (Mahshahr Gas Turbine Power Plant).
