Description

The project was developed by Fisterra Energy and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB de CV. Sempra and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 99.9% and 0.1% respectively.

San Fernando Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 498 hectares.

The project generates 276,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 53,159 households, offsetting 170,111t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 517,570 modules.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2020.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to El Puerto de Liverpool SAB de CV under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2020. The contracted capacity is 125MW.

Contractors involved

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by Arctech Solar Holding.
