Description

The project was developed by Lightsource BP Renewable Energy Investments and is currently owned by NextEnergy Solar Fund.

South Lowfield Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 231 acres.

The project generates 42,664MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 12,929 households, offsetting 16,275t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $45.659m.

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2021.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to InBev UK under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.
