CEE Group, a Hamburg-based renewable assets manager, and solar developer Goldbeck Solar have commissioned the 154.7MW Döllen solar park in the Prignitz district of Brandenburg, Germany.

The inauguration took place in the presence of official representatives from the region and partners involved in the project’s construction, one year after its ground-breaking ceremony.

The solar facility was activated by symbolically connecting a ‘green plug’ to the electricity grid.

It will generate 160,000 megawatt-hours of clean electricity annually, enough to power 36,000 four-person homes.

Situated on a former agricultural area in Döllen in the municipality of Gumtow in the Prignitz district, the project was built by Goldbeck Solar in partnership with Elmenhorst/Lichtenhagen-based company Antilike Solar.

It was funded by DAL Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing. Panels for the project were supplied by Astronergy.

The generated electricity is fed into the grid and operated by regional distribution system operator E DIS Netz. A transformer station has also been built in Schönhagen to support the project.

The Döllen solar park project is supported by Engie through a power purchase agreement.

CEE Group CEO Detlef Schreiber stated: “We are pleased that the solar park at the Döllen site has been commissioned on schedule. With a nominal output of 154.77 megawatt peak, the project in this dimension is a significant milestone of the energy transition in Germany.

“We would like to thank all those involved for their exceptional professionalism and consistent commitment, particularly amidst the challenges encountered during this megaproject.”
